Retractable Pergola Awnings
A retractable pergola awning combines a sturdy aluminium frame with fabric that opens and retracts electrically. With the right pitch for drainage and a waterproof cover, it turns terraces, roof terraces and restaurant courtyards into space you can use all year round.
It can be completed with vertical ZIP awnings or clear PVC curtains along the sides, so the space closes off completely in winter, and with LED lighting for the evenings.

Is a retractable pergola awning really waterproof?
Yes, when it is installed with waterproof fabric and the correct pitch. The water runs into the gutter in the front profile and down through the posts.
Do I need planning permission?
Awnings and shading systems generally fall under minor works, so no permit is required.
Can the sides be closed in too?
Yes. We add vertical ZIP awnings or clear PVC curtains so the space is protected from wind and rain.
